Terms of Service

Welcome to runevr. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the runevr platform, including our website, web application, desktop app, mobile apps, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

runevr is operated by the entity that owns and runs the runevr platform ("runevr", "we", "us", or "our"). You can reach us at legal@runevr.com.

1. What runevr is

runevr is an online collaborative work platform delivered over the internet (Software-as-a-Service). It provides shared workspaces ("Rooms"), a collaborative canvas ("Boards"), media and document review, team and direct messaging, screen and video recording and sharing, file storage and sharing, calls, and AI-assisted features. We provide access to software and online services on a subscription basis; we do not sell physical goods.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
• During our alpha/early-access period, access may be limited to invited users and features may change, break, or be removed.

3. Subscriptions, billing & payments

runevr offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) until cancelled. Pricing and plan details are still being finalized and may change before general availability; the price and terms presented to you at the time of purchase will apply to that purchase.

Payments are processed by Paddle. Our order process and subscription billing are conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing, invoicing, tax, and related customer inquiries. When you purchase a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's buyer terms and policies. Paddle's name may appear on your card or bank statement.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Applicable taxes (e.g. VAT/sales tax) may be added and are determined and collected by Paddle based on your location.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and Paddle's policies.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the files, messages, recordings, designs, and other materials you upload or create on the Service ("Your Content"). You grant runevr a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and create technical copies of Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to provide it to you and the people you share it with. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for backups retained for a limited period and content shared with others who retain a copy.

You're responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to upload and share it. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful.
• Upload malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt or overload the Service.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or copy the Service except as permitted by law.
• Use the Service to store or transmit content that violates others' rights or applicable law.
• Abuse, harass, or infringe the rights of other users or third parties.

6. AI-assisted features

runevr includes AI-assisted features (for example, agents that help plan work, generate drafts, or assist with review and translation). AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. You're responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it. AI features may use third-party model providers; we process the inputs you provide to those features to generate output.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, branding, and the runevr name and logo — is owned by runevr and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Nothing here transfers ownership of the Service to you.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and real-time communications). Your use of integrated third-party services may be subject to their own terms. We're not responsible for third-party services we don't control.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. During alpha/early access, expect more frequent changes and interruptions.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, runevr will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (via Paddle) for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll provide notice (for example, by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date or by notifying you in the app). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which runevr is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The specific governing law and dispute-resolution venue will be confirmed as our corporate structure is finalized.
